Amelia Roberts-Business Development and Collaboration Consultant

"Customer-obsessed professionals feel exhausted when they consider all of the ways to market their business, yet you can develop relationships at scale so that you maximize word of mouth and accelerate referrals. Let’s do less marketing while making more impact with the RIGHT collaborations so that they can outsource brand awareness and sales efforts."

Amelia is a registered nurse by trade who fell in love with marketing and sales (it turns out the process for each matched her expertise with scientific methods perfectly).

Amelia's almost 20 years in healthcare and 6 years in business have proven that most challenges with growth in a career or business result from:

  1. A) a story that is not being told
  2. B) a collaboration that is not happening
  3. C) both A and B

Now, alongside other hats, individuals and teams hire Amelia to regain control of their day, quarter, or year with the RIGHT collaborations so that they can do less marketing while making more impact.

When she is not teaching busy leaders how to maximize word of mouth and get referrals on repeat by developing relationships at scale, Amelia enjoys spending time on #teamnap and planning real and imagined food tours.

INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:

In a few words tell us about who you are, what you do and who you serve.

As an empath and introvert, I needed an energy-conserving way to get the word out about what I do and discovered a proven collaboration-based way to leverage the platforms of people who already have heard the know, like and trust of your best buyers and fast track your success. I serve busy customer-obsessed individuals and teams who want to do less marketing while making more impact by outsourcing brand awareness and sales efforts.

When did you start your business and why did you get started?

I started my business in 2016 because I wanted to pay off student loans, yet after realizing that many popular marketing efforts were exhausting for myself and others, I discovered that there was a simplified, less intense way to meet potential buyers and referral clients on a regular basis so that you can make more of an impact and stop doing #allofthethings.

What is your mission for your business?

I accelerate missions that improve the consumer experience, one collaboration at a time.

What’s the one thing about your business journey that you didn’t expect?

There are MANY companies that make well over $30 million per year that do not have a content strategy.

If you could go back in time and do something different in the way you built your business, what would you do and why?

I would have hired a coach earlier.

There is a LOT to learn with having a business and a coach could have shortened my learning curve and provided guidance on avoiding common pitfalls in business.

What advice would you give someone who is struggling with finding collaborations?

Before reaching out for support, clients, and referral partners, first can your capacity to receive.

“Ask for what you want and be prepared to get it.” - Maya Angelou

What is your favourite part of running your business?
