Whitney is a Certified Medium, Certified Reiki Master-Teacher, Spiritual Mentor, and host of the Spiritual and Ambitious podcast. She is the owner of Messenger of Spirit, LLC and the creator of her widely popular program, 4 Intuitive Languages® where she helps spiritual and ambitious souls learn how to understand their intuitive messages and communicate with their Spirit Guides.
INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:
In a few words tell us about who you are, what you do and who you serve.
I am a Certified Medium who helps aspiring entrepreneurs understand the intuitive messages they receive from their Spirit Guides so they can live their life purpose through their career and attract abundance.
When did you start your business and why did you get started?
It took a major health issue to get me to open up my intuitive abilities and connect with my Spirit Guides. I started my business in 2010 to help other people connect to their Spirit Guides and intuitive abilities so they would know the next steps on their path towards their purpose. It took 100% trust in my Spirit Guides to start my own business, and I want to help other people do the same.
What is your mission for your business?
To help spiritual and ambitious souls unlock, understand, and trust their intuitive gifts and take inspired action towards their purpose.
What’s the one thing about your business journey that you didn’t expect?
That I was going to be changing the way I did business through the years and am now 100% online. When I started my business, I thought I would always be doing the same thing. It took trusting my intuition to really lean into the changes.
What is a common myth about your industry?
That people shouldn’t charge for spiritual services.
If you could go back in time and do something different in the way you built your business, what would you do and why?
I would’ve said yes to more opportunities earlier in my business. It would’ve accelerated my growth.
What advice would you give someone who is struggling with following their intuition in business?
That you are worthy and can charge what you feel aligned with for your services. You can’t please everyone.
What is your favourite part of running your business?
The freedom I have and I set my own schedule.
What tool (or software) is indispensable for your job?
There are alot.. Zoom, Streamyard, ConvertKit, WordPress, Kajabi…
What’s one upcoming project that you’re excited about right now?
I’m getting ready to print my own oracle cards! Messenger of Spirit Oracle.
Who would you really like to connect with?
I would love to connect with other podcasts hosts. I’m always looking for other spiritual and ambitious leaders in the world to interview and I would love to be on your podcast, too!
How would your parents or family describe what you do?
I connect to the Spirit world and talk to dead people. 
(I mean, I guess that’s true, but I actually help other people connect to their own spiritual side and Spirit Guides.)
What’s your favorite colour and what does it say about you?
I love all colors, depending on my mood. I actually have a Spirit Guide that tells me what color to wear to support my energy. Bright colors are my favorite. It feels like it’s symbolic. I used to wear darker colors when I wasn’t as confident. As my light shines brighter, I wear brighter colors.
Are you an introvert or extrovert?
100% introvert (but I look extroverted because I’m the face of my business.)

What do people misunderstand about you most?
That I can come across a little cold or direct, but I’m just a “let’s cut the small talk” kinda person with an open heart. I’ve had to learn boundaries, so that’s probably what they pick up on.
What’s your biggest pet peeve?
When people ask me, “What Spirits do you see around me right now?” randomly. They assume that I see Spirits around them all the time when in fact, I teach people how to have an “off” switch so that doesn’t happen. Don’t worry, I’m not reading into every person I meet.

To create my own schedule and to travel wherever I want to go whenever I want to go.

What’s your favourite way to consume content (audio, video, written)?
Depends on what I’m doing with the content. For free content - I’m a visual learner so written is best. I love podcasts, but if I’m taking a course I want to watch videos.
