Book Recommendations

Book Recommendations

This isn’t a fancy page with summaries or reviews of the books, just a list of books that I’ve read loved and recommended.

I am a learner at heart (it’s in my top 5 strengths of the Strengths Finder) and I get asked for recommendations all the time, so here’s my list of recommended books/audiobooks:

Mindset:

  • The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks
  • Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert
  • Finish by Jon Acuff (great for perfectionists)
  • You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero
  • The Success Principles by Jack Canfield
  • Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown (also great for perfectionists)
  • Untamed by Glennon Doyle
  • More Than Enough by Elaine Welteroth
  • Dare to Lead by Brene Brown (and pretty much any other Brene Brown book is high on my list of recommendations)
  • Drop the Ball by Tiffany Dufu (geared towards moms)
  • Brave, Not Perfect by Reshma Saujani (are you sensing a theme around perfectionism - I’m an Enneagram 1)
  • Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss
  • Fierce, Free, and Full of Fire by Jen Hatmaker (some religious tones - but overall a great message and funny as hell if you listen to the audiobook )
  • Limitless by Laura Gassner Otting
  • You Are Kind Of A Big Deal by Erin King
  • Focus is Fertiliser by Kylie Brennan
  • Do less by Kate Northrup

Money Mindset:

  • We Should All Be Millionaires by Rachel Rodgers
  • You Are A Badass At Making Money by Jen Sincero
  • Get Rich Lucky B*tch by Denise Duffield Thomas
  • Rich As F*ck by Amanda Frances
  • The Map to Abundance by Boni Lonsbury
  • Super Attractor by Gabrielle Bernstein
  • Abundance Now by Lisa Nichols
  • Energetic Selling & Marketing by Lenka Lutonska

Business:

  • The Go-Giver by Bob Burg
  • The Pumpkin Plan by Mike Michaelowicz
  • Clockwork by Mike Michaelowicz
  • Traction by Gino Wickman
  • The Soul Sourced Entrepreneur by Christine Kane
  • Align Your Business by Candace Hozza
  • Chillpreneur by Denise Duffield Thomas

list of books

Productivity:

  • The 12 Week Year by Brian Moran
  • The ONE Thing by Gary Keller and Jay Papasan
  • Essentialism by Greg McKeown
  • Rest, Refocus, Recharge by Greg Wells

Just because I recommend a book does not mean that I endorse all the concepts within the book, the authors business practices, or the way the author engages with their audience online. It means I found the book's contents enlightening and learned a lot about myself in the process of reading the book.

As I continue to read and grow, this list will shift … some books may be eliminated and others added.

Cool!
